A single material aligner system with the same thickness for all aligners results in forces that can sometimes be too much for individual teeth, leading to increased chance of root resorption and unpredictable movements.

TrioClear is virtually invisible. It utilizes TrioDim Forceâ„¢ Technology by placing small indents inside the aligners and avoids a majority of bumps or attachments, making it unnoticeable to others. Also, extended gingival coverage makes the margins of the aligners less visible since it is placed deeper from the zenith of each tooth.

It varies in different cases. In general, TrioClear treatment involves between 12 and 40 steps of aligners in total. You will wear aligners with a specific sequence step of Soft (S) and Hard (H).
Each aligner should be changed every 7 days. Each step's changing time may change at the doctor's discretion, subjected to good compliance and fit as the patient progresses.
Compared to most other brands which only use single-thickness material, TrioClear utilizes progressive thickness aligners ranging from soft to hard, allowing your teeth to adjust easily when the movement occurs. Our soft aligner is around 0.5mm, which means your teeth may feel less pressure and pain during every first stage of the movement. However, it is completely normal if your teeth feel pressured every time when you change a new aligner. This means that TrioClear aligners are starting to move your teeth. The feeling should disappear gradually in a couple of days. If this is not the case, please contact your doctor immediately.
Extended gingival coverage allows a larger surface area covered by the aligners, particularly for teeth with short crown height. The margins of the aligners are also less visible to other people since less attachments are needed and the aligner is placed deeper from the zenith of each tooth, making the aligners more esthetic, particularly for patients with varying lip line positions. It also allows our technicians room to make pre-made pressed buttons directly on every aligner, saving clinician's chair time without the need to bond and avoids the risk of debonding.
However, we also understand that for some situations, non-gingival coverage aligners are beneficial. Therefore, TrioClear allows the doctors to choose scalloped margins on request.
